March 2025 Newsletter

February proved challenging, as the weather caused us to close Zack's Place for two days. However, we did not skip a beat when offering it to our participants. The skiing at Saskadena Six has been fantastic, as we have been blessed with much natural snow this year.

Participants enjoyed baking Valentine's cookies and art projects for Valentine's Day. The Valentine's Day Dance held at the Windsor American Legion was fun and attended by many Zack's Place Participants.

Recently, A decision was made regarding the Zack's Place musical. This year, we will showcase Zack's Place's rendition of The Lion King. Stay tuned for more information about getting involved, as much work will need to be done in preparation for the production. The musical will be held at the town hall theater on May 14, 2025, at 5:30 pm.

We also want to take a moment to introduce our new staff member, Lydia Locke, to our team. Lydia will be working on Mondays and Fridays to support our Program Directors. We are excited to have her on board and look forward to her positive impact on our programs and participants. Be on the lookout for Lydia's bio on our website soon!

Upcoming fundraising opportunities or events include advertising in our 2025 Zack's Place phone book, supporting The Quechee Club's Uphill Challenge being held on March 8th, and attending our May 11th Garden Party at Kelly Way Garden. Please consider volunteering or making a donation.

Thank you for your continued support of Zack's Place.

Message From the Executive Director,

Beth Robinson

Letter from our Executive Director,

February has been a busy month as we approach the start of our fundraising efforts. We are well on our way to producing the 2025 Zack's Place phone book and preparing for our Spring Garden Party. We will focus on sponsorship in advertising and finalize event details. The response so far has been overwhelmingly positive, which is a testament to the strength of our community. We have been exploring new grant-writing opportunities to ensure we meet our financial goals for the year.

On the grant writing front, I have submitted applications that, if awarded, will provide crucial funding for our programs. These grants support and validate our programs' meaningful impact on the adults we serve. As always, we are working to strengthen our grant proposals and remain focused on securing sustainable funding sources and engaging our community in meaningful ways to support our mission.

Our mission is to provide meaningful enrichment opportunities for the individuals we serve, and we could not do this without the unwavering commitment of our board members and supporters. Their guidance, advocacy, and generosity are instrumental in our work. Whether through donations, volunteer efforts, or behind-the-scenes support, their contributions are deeply appreciated.

Warm Regards,

Beth
