The Three Commitments:

Living the Dream

Teaching by Lama Adam Berner

July 21, 2022

6:30 - 8:30 PM Pacific Time

Our lives are a process, full of change and uncertainty. Forgetting this, we suffer. But happiness is not out of reach.

The Buddha taught three simple commitments — do no harm, take care of one another, and embrace the world just as it is — which, as we become more adept, can help us to navigate life’s fleeting nature with a warm, gentle smile.

Sitting meditation is just the beginning of a spiritual journey of self-discovery that allows us to change our hearts for the better.

Lama Karma Drodhul, a Tibetan Buddhist teacher and past president of our “home” monastery, Karma Triyana Dharmachakra, will show us ways we can use meditation to liberate ourselves from negative patterns, confusion, and mental afflictions.

On Friday night Aug. 19, the public talk introduces the role of mindfulness in making meaningful changes in our lives.

On Saturday and Sunday Aug. 20 and 21st, Lama Karma will teach progressive workshops that will focus on methods of self-liberation meditation.

Biography of Lama Karma Drodhul here.
