Zane's is looking for an Administrative Assistant!
What does it take to be an Administrative Assistant with Zane's?

  • Person should have a passion and special willingness to work with the special need’s population
  • Hours vary from week to week; schedule may be set according to your preference.
  • A regular week is 10 to 15 hours, more hours during fundraising season
  • Word or Excel experience is a must
  •  Fundraising duties include but are not limited to: sending out letters, completing on-line applications, making phone calls or emails, putting baskets together, picking up donations, etc…
  • Attend community outreach events as a Zane's representative as needed
  • Be able to type letters to parents and providers upon completion of funding process.
  • Schedule and set up meetings/interviews for prospective recipient families.
  •  A summary invoice of hours with duties need to be submitted once a month to your supervisor.
  • Answer emails, letters, from parents and businesses as needed in a timely manner (within 48 hours).
  • Administrative Assistant is unable to apply for funding from Zane’s Family Support Fund initiative
  • Other mutually agreed upon duties may be added to this list.

Registration Deadline: Monday July 6th
Green's Organized Adaptive League - For any individual with a physical or intellectual challenge
6 years old to 18 years old
Program: 1 hour
Players will be grouped by ability, not age. 
~ Soccer Scrimmages
~ Fun Soccer Activities
 
SCHEDULE FOR FALL 2020
4 SUNDAYS - Will be in September or October
Probably 12:30pm - 1:30pm

Requirements
* One adult must accompany the player & stay at the field, doesn't have to be a parent.
* Min Age: Must be 6 by Aug 1, 2020
* Max Age:18
 
Equipment: T-shirt included, Size 4 ball, shin-guards, water bottle, cleats are optional.  
 Location Of All Sessions:
Boettler Park, Green

COVID-19: 
Green Soccer is anticipating a fall soccer season w some adaptations for safety. The soccer community anticipates that by mid- late August, the players will be allowed some contact during practices & games. Green Soccer will be following safety guidelines set by the State Of Ohio & Summit County Health Department.

Restrictions:
* Soft muddy fields may be an issue for walking aides? Fields are too soft to accommodate wheelchairs. 
* Players with Down Syndrome are required to have a current x-ray. If the x-ray is positive for Atlanto-axial Instability, it is strongly recommended that the child does not take part in team play; soccer is a contact sport. 
* Limit: 30 Players. Green residents get priority. 
 
Coaches:
We need Parent Coaches. Sign-up during registration
Coaches will be given a Coaching Manual and training.

NAMI Summit County- Family to Family Course
NAMI Summit County is currently registering for its free Family to Family virtual Zoom course which begins Thursday, July 9, 2020 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. This course is designed for family members and close friends of those who suffer from severe and persistent mental illness. It is a 8 session program which meets virtually via Zoom once a week for 2 hours. The course covers diagnoses and symptoms of the major mental illnesses, how the brain is affected, medications, coping and communication skills, and a lot more designed to assist families in helping their loved ones on their recovery journey.  The course is conducted by trained family members and is offered free of charge with all materials provided. Only 10  spaces available.
