Connecting for Kids
Talking to Others About Your LGBTQ+ Child

Will you be seeing family and friends over the holidays that you have not seen in a while? How should you navigate questions about your child's gender identity while still being supportive and affirming? Join Kristen Pepera, MEd, LPCC-S, and Lisa Pepera, MEd, LPCC-S, of Colors+, for a short presentation on gender nonconformity. Afterward, they will lead a discussion on ways to be an advocate for your child and be prepared for difficult conversations with others, especially with the holidays approaching.
Thursday, November 18, 7:00 p.m.
Interagency Work Group on Autism
The Interagency Work Group on Autism (IWGA) is inviting Ohioans to join us for a series of conversations about autism.
Each discussion will focus on one "life domain" from Charting the LifeCourse Framework. Using the life domains, we will talk about the current realities and imagine the kind of Ohio we want to create together to ensure people with autism and their families live their best lives for their whole lives.

We encourage people with autism, families/caregivers, community members, educators, health/human service agencies, policymakers, and others to join us for one or all of these conversations.

 Solon Center for the Arts
Solon Center for the Arts is offering a FREE adult theater adaptive class in November...
Theater (Acting Basics) Adult Class: Nov 3-17 6:30pm-7:15pm SCA Gallery,
6315 Som Center Rd, Solon, OH 44143
Students will cover the basics of acting with the use of the body, the voice and the imagination. Guided by these three essential tools, students will begin exploring various characters and their unique qualities. Students will work with specific texts and dialogue to uncover these characters and initiate the actor's transformation to character. This transformation will give students confidence in their acting abilities and freedom to explore the world of the stage!
**SCA programs are designed for all attendees to participate independently. We do ask for those needing additional assistance to feel free to bring a helping hand
