Want to learn more about the FAA’s new MOSAIC Sport Pilot/Light Sport rule (aka “Sport Pilot 2.0”), in effect since October 22, 2025?

Watch and listen as Zenith Aircraft's Sebastien Heintz discusses the new rule (and how it affects Zenith aircraft builders and flyers) with Bryan Walstrom of the Experimental Aircraft Channel (that is running its "31 Day Build Challenge" during December).

Heintz explains how the lineup of Zenith aircraft kits currently available fit the expanded "MOSAIC Sport Pilot" very well and that many Zenith owners and flyers are already benefiting from the new rule.

In another video released this week, Zenith staff shared new details about ongoing efforts to offer its customers with kits that are easier and quicker to assemble. The most recent example of that is the availability of pre-cut and professionally swaged control cables. The new kit option is available to all builders, including to owners of finished Zeniths who may want to refresh their aircraft control cables.

Get a head start in building your own Zenith kit airplane by participating at an upcoming hands-on workshop class to learn all about the skills and tools needed to build your own.

Zenith Aircraft Company invites you to experience the excitement of building your own airplane at one of our monthly hands-on workshops. Workshop classes are available at the Zenith factory, as well as the following two offsite locations:

Additional helpers (spouse or other family members) are encouraged to attend and can participate for free. Prior registration is required for the rudder workshop class and class size is limited. Plan now to join us at an upcoming factory workshop.
