We're excited about EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2018, which starts on Monday! 

As always, the flight to and from Oshkosh is as exciting and fun as the show itself... Watch the video from last year as Roger approaches Oshkosh in the Zenith CH 650 and listen to ATC and the approaching traffic, and watch as Nick flies into Oshkosh in the brand new Zenith STOL CH 750 Super Duty (with the UnPanel repositionable glass display) to land on the Red Square...

Zenith Aircraft returns to the North Aircraft Display Area #641 this year, where we will be showing our various kit airplanes, including the new STOL CH 750 Super Duty, the Zenith CH 650, STOL CH 750, and Zenith CH 750 Cruzer.  We're looking forward to meeting with existing builders and owners, as well as new builders and enthusiasts. 

Come by our booth to preview a brand new Zenith that is sure to take you by surprise!

KIT ASSEMBLY WORKSHOP Zenith staff and volunteers will return to demonstrate kit assembly  daily from 8:45 - 12:45 in the AeroPlane Workshop (just south of the Zenith booth) to teach visitors about building a modern kit aircraft.

Come to learn about the required tools and skills needed to assemble a Zenith kit. Take a look at the new parts as supplied in the kit as well as the detailed assembly instructions. First time builders are always surprised at how simple building an airplane has become. 

Take advantage of this opportunity to participate in assembling part of a kit with our knowledgeable staff and volunteers, and get a good look at the new advanced kits from Zenith Aircraft. If you're an experienced builder, come by to teach others the basics of kit aircraft assembly.

Students from the International College of Aeronautics in Nigeria, Africa (who are spending the summer building their own kit at the Zenith factory) will be on hand to demonstrate kit aircraft assembly.

"Our kits have really become a lot quicker and easier to build over the past few years and this workshop is the best way to demonstrate this fact," explained Zenith Aircraft Company's Sebastien Heintz. "We invite everyone to come by, take a look, and experience first-hand what building an airplane is all about."

Back by popular demand, Zenith Aircraft Co. will host an "Engine Day" at the company's exhibit on Thursday, July 26, from 9 am to 2 pm. A number of different installed engines will be on display. Representatives for several manufacturers of engines suitable for Zeniths will be there as well.

Our Zenith Banquet dinner will once again be held at the Elks Lodge in Oshkosh on Thursday, July 26. As always we have very comfortable seating, our own private bar, award winning food, and awesome door prizes! All Zenith Aircraft enthusiasts are invited to attend. The banquet dinner is a great event for everyone to meet and talk with Zenith builders and flyers, and to rest your feet after a long day on the AirVenture grounds. We'll have special guests at the banquet, including Lucas Silva from Chile, who's just returned from flying his Zenith STOL to 20,000-feet over the Andes mountains.
The full bar will open at 5:30 PM for those that would like to come and relax early. Dinner starts at 7:00 PM. Tickets are only available at the door for $20 per person (RSVP not required). Check the Facebook event page for details and updates.

Another special event at Oshkosh you won't want to miss is the Able Flight ceremony, where the Class of 2018 Able Flight pilots will receive their Pilot Wings on Tuesday, July 24th 10 am at the EAA Theater In The Woods. 

Wounded veteran  Staff Sgt. Robert Bartlett (U.S. Army-retired, top left) just passed his check ride in a Zenith STOL CH 750 to become a licensed sport pilot. Come j oin Robert and the other new Able Flight pilots for this special ceremony at AirVenture!
