Zentangle Mosaic

July 8, 2016

We are thrilled once again to introduce the CZTs from around the world who attended our 24th Certified Zentangle Teacher training in June.

In this newsletter we share with you some of the Zentangle Tiles and Zentangle Inspired Art (ZIA) that they shared with us.

Welcome and enjoy!

Welcome to CZTs from Seminar 24!

Once again, the adage that, "the Zentangle community attracts the nicest people" proved itself again. As one student from Germany said, "I didn't think there were this many people this nice in the world - much less that they could all be together in the same place!"

In this class of 108 students, we had people from:
  • Austria
  • Canada
  • Germany
  • Hong Kong
  • Ireland
  • Macao
  • Scotland
  • Switzerland
  • Taiwan
  • UK
  • USA

Once again we all basked in the uplifting camaraderie of Zentangle creativity (see below).

We look forward to enjoying working with these amazing people as they work with the Zentangle Method around this world.

Here is a (small) sampling of the spectacular art they shared with us all:

Thanks again to all who brought and shared such beauty and creativity. We have only shared a small sample. All the art on display was so exquisite that we would like to have shared it all.

Tiles from Seminar on Zentangle Mosaic

You can now view tiles from Seminar 24 that CZTs are uploading to our Zentangle Mosaic app.

Our Zentangle Mosaic app is free to download and works on iPhone, Android phones and iPad. In the free version you can search and view all the images.

To find images from Seminar 24, search on the hash-tag:

Commenting, posting your own tiles, viewing tangle step-outs and high resolution images are available to subscribers.

Subscription is $2.99 a month ($24.99 a year)

A Word about App Pricing
Many have asked, "With so many free apps available, why charge a subscription to enjoy all of Zentangle Mosaic?"

Rick answers:
  1. We don't sell advertising space.
  2. We don't collect your personal information to sell to advertisers.
  3. We need to pay for development and hosting.
Our intention is to create a comfortable space for Zentangle artists and appreciators that is free from advertising and also free from the spamming on a [so-called] free app.

Think of Zentangle Mosaic as your private gallery with windows open to the public. Anyone can look in for free and see all the art inside. But if you want to display your art, chat with other artists and appreciate their work, see the art a bit closer or enjoy some of the other treats inside, then there is a fee.

A ccording to USNews & World Report [ link ], the average cup of coffee cost $2.70 in the USA. The average tip was 20%, bringing the total paid for a cup of coffee to $3.24.

When you think of it in terms of cups of coffee, a subscription is less than a cup of coffee a month (or eight cups in a year).

Over the next few days and weeks, you will likely find new CZTs in your area. You can look for them at this link on our website.

Thank you all once more for enjoying and contributing to this wonderful Zentangle adventure!

Best from us all,

Rick, Maria, Bijou and everyone at Zentangle

We plan to do some website maintenance
soon, so will be offline for a couple hours sometime in the next few days.
