Zigzag Ball Path Design Minimizes Friction

Under High-Speed, High-Acceleration Conditions

The SR Series Stroke Bush from NB is engineered for precision linear and rotary motion under high-speed and high-acceleration conditions. Its unique zigzag ball arrangement between the outer cylinder and shaft ensures smooth, low-friction operation.

Ideal for:

  • High-speed pick-and-place mechanisms
  • Semiconductor handling equipment
  • Lightweight robotic systems
  • Precision guided actuators

The aluminum alloy retainer and thin-wall high-carbon, chromium-bearing steel outer cylinder make the stroke bush compact and light weight.

Next-Gen Linear Bushings: Greater Load,

Longer Life, Smoother Assembly

TOPBALL® Ultimate self-aligning bushing redefines performance in linear motion.

The new TOPBALL® Ultimate (TW-H) sets a new standard in linear motion. Its enhanced design includes:

  • Optimized load plates
  • Reinforced outer cylinder structure
  • Double the ball circuits of the standard TW type

These improvements result in 1.3× higher load ratings and 2.2× longer travel life than the already high-performing TW series.

To put that in perspective:

  • The standard TW series already achieves 3× the load capacity and 27× the travel life of conventional bushings.
  • The Ultimate (TW-H) takes it further—delivering up to 4× the load and 64× the life of typical slide bushings.

When Accuracy Is Paramount

The NB RVF Gonio Slide Way is for minute curved motions. It has both hardened and ground raceways that last longer and afford smoother, accurate movements. Flat mounting surface speeds assembly. Perfect for optical equipmemt and measuring devices.

The Advantages of a Perfect FIT

NB's FIT Series slide bush and shaft assemblies eliminate the guesswork of clearance optimization. Precision-matched components ensure ideal clearance—saving time, cost, and complexity by removing the need for adjustable housings.

Typical assemblies can suffer from preloading issues due to bore and shaft tolerances, increasing friction and compromising accuracy. FIT solves this with clearances as tight as +4 microns—far better than the standard +17 microns.

Shaft end placement deviation is also cut by 70%—from 0.046 mm to just 0.011 mm.

FIT Series: Precision fit. Maximum performance. No compromises.

How Do These Rotary Ball Splines Differ?

NB's SPB Rotary Ball Spline nut consists of a spline nut and a rotating portion using balls in the SPB.

NB's SPR Rotary Ball Spline nut consists of a spline nut and a rotating portion using crossed rollers in the SPR
