Reminder: Wilmington City Schools will be extending our current schedule, the Yellow Zone of Learning “Hybrid Schedule”, for our in-person learners through December 18th, due to the high incidence of COVID-19 cases in our community and surrounding areas. We will continue our Live Remote Learning Schedule on Wednesdays.

A message from the WHS Theatre Department:

Dear Families, Friends, Patrons, and Community supporters of Theatre at Wilmington High School,

COVID-19 has affected us all in some way; at home, at work, and in our activities. It has disrupted and turned our world on its side. The theatre world is not immune. So it is with a heavy heart that I must announce our fall production of "Front" is cancelled. Though no positive cases have been reported among the cast and crew, several have felt the residual effects of quarantine due to close contact with a positive case. Also, with the number of infections continuing to climb in our state and local community we want to do our part to keep our students safe.
On the positive side, I am currently working with a professional videographer to record our latest rehearsals. I hope to have a filmed version of our show once the editing has been done. More information will be available about this at a later date. Please continue to watch our website at and our Facebook page for more information about our 2020-2021 season.
Thank you for your continued support.

Free Meals to Go!
Good News!
Our food service department will continue to provide free meals for pick-up on Wednesdays during the holiday break!

If you have a child 0-18 years old you can pre-order meal packs for Wednesday pick-up. Orders must be placed at least one week in advance so that we can order enough food.

Use our online order form to pre-order your meals for pick-up. Just remember to order at least 1 week prior to pick-up! The form is also available on the Food Service page at

Additional good news... The USDA has extended the free meal program through the end of the school year, while funding lasts. Student meals are free to children 0-18 years old. For details, visit our Food Service page online.

Hurricane Healthy Holidays
As we enter the holiday season, we encourage you to be vigilant not just at work and school, but also at home and at family gatherings.

The CDC recently published a helpful page on how to assess risk and plan your gatherings to limit the spread of virus. See Holiday Celebrations and Small Gatherings for tips on celebrating safely.
