I hope this email finds you well and a bit less confused than at other points in the pandemic.
Once again, if you plan to go anywhere, it's a good idea to check out what COVID-19 zone it's in so you can adjust your plans if necessary. For example, if you have kids or work at one of these 169 school sites, your plan is altered for at least the next two weeks. However, no matter how you strategize to get about keep your distance and wear a mask there are some great things happening across our community. You can check out a bunch of them below my email signature, but I have a couple of things I'd like to mention before that.
First, we have a resumption of our general board meetings with an October zoom meeting next Wednesday, and two weeks from tonight, on Thursday October 22nd, our Landmarks/Land Use meeting will be held, via zoom, starting at 6:00 PM. The agenda is still in formation, but we expect a few landmark items to be up for review. Most notably the Department of City Planningwill present at the beginning of the meeting about the Gowanus Rezoning. Specifically, DCP will be discussing some of its pre-certification plans and timeline. This is good news as we've been asking for pre-certification meetings long before the pandemic hit. However, what is presented, and not just the timeline, will ultimately determine our reaction.
P.S Please forgive any typos or brain freezes in the text as I get these updates out in haste at the end of the day, and if there is a community-centric item you think I should know aboutplease reach out.
