National Vet Tech Week

This week is National Vet Tech Week, a week to recognize our wonderful vet techs and all the work they do to ensure our animals are cared for and healthy. We are so grateful for them and all the work they do. Say thank you to our vet techs when you can!

Boo at the Zoo Need-to-Know

For Boo at the Zoo weekend (Friday, Saturday and Sunday), security asks that staff does not park in the main lot. Staff can park along the perimeter of Park Place as long as it is not blocking access to the Zoo access gates. Extra parking for volunteers, performers and Boo staff will be available in the grassy areas around the employee west parking lot. Please expect traffic delays around University/Colonial traffic lights.

Decorate a Pumpkin!

Feeling creative? Want to contribute to the employee pumpkin patch at Boo at the Zoo? Employees can pick up a pumpkin at the Admin building and decorate it any way you would like. Pumpkins cannot be carved as they will be on display for at least 3 days at Boo. Pumpkins must be family friendly. No religious or politically themed pumpkins. Pumpkins should be returned to the Administration building by end-of-day Tuesday, Oct. 24. To enter your pumpkin into the contest, take a photo and email your submission to [email protected] by end of day Oct. 24 for a chance to win a prize. Please include the title of your pumpkin art as well as your name and department. Pumpkins will be judged by a Zoo committee and winners will be announced on Oct 26.
