2025 TOY & BOOK DRIVE

Public safety agencies in San Mateo County, including the City of Redwood City Fire and Police Departments, have teamed up to bring smiles and holiday spirit to children in need through the Annual Holiday Toy & Book Drive. With help from the Fair Oaks Community Center and a corps of volunteers, this annual event has become a welcomed tradition in the Redwood City community.

Families wishing to be added to the Toy & Book Drive can do so from October 13 through December 4. All sign-ups must be done in person at the Fair Oaks Community Center at 2600 Middlefield Rd. Questions? Call 650-780-7500 for help.

CITY CORNER

Redwood Shores Sea Level Rise Protection Project

This project will protect homes, schools, businesses and critical infrastructure by addressing flood risk identified by FEMA and projected future sea level rise. The project will also integrate opportunities for nature-based solutions where feasible along a raised and strengthened Redwood Shores levee and enhance recreational amenities for the community. Learn more at www.RedwoodCity.org/RedwoodShoresSLR

As part of public outreach, a community survey is now open to help inform improvements to the Redwood Shores trails. We want to understand how community members use the trails and their ideas for the future. Three randomly selected participants will receive a $100 VISA gift card. Take the community survey here
