WASHINGTON, D.C. - The National Lumber and Building Material Dealers Association (NLBMDA), in partnership with Hardware & Building Supply Dealer are proud to announce Zuern Building Products as the 2025 ProDealer of the Year.

What began in 1953 as Allenton Lumber and Fuel—a small operation with just five employees—has grown into one of Wisconsin’s leading independent, family-owned suppliers of lumber and building materials. Today, Zuern Building Products employs more than 300 dedicated team members and continues to expand its reach and reputation.
The company’s 10 Wisconsin locations include full-service lumberyards, design showrooms, a manufacturing facility and a distribution center. Zuern serves builders, remodelers, and homeowners with a full range of building materials and innovative marketing strategies.
The company strives to provide a trusted buying experience from design through delivery, said Zuern, adding: “We pride ourselves at doing the common, uncommonly well in serving our professional builder and remodeler customers.”
Zuern Building Products has also shown its willingness to grow through acquisition in deals that combine customer-focused cultures. In June of 2024, Zuern welcomed the 144-year-old Saeman Lumber Company in Cross Plains, Wisconsin to the family. Zuern followed that move with the acquisition of Wood Specialties out of Menomonee Falls in November.

The ProDealer of the Year Award is selected by the National Lumber and Building Material Dealers Association in partnership with its media partner Hardware & Building Supply Dealer. This prestigious national award is designed to recognize a high-performance lumberyard (more than five locations) with a commitment to values consistent with the lumber and building material industry: excellence in customer stewardship, devotion to its employees and a positive workplace culture.
Zuern Building Products will accept the 2025 ProDealer of the Year award during the upcoming ProDealer Industry Summit, to be held in Louisville, Kentucky Oct. 8-10. The event is hosted jointly by the NLBMDA and HBSDealer. The Summit provides an educational forum designed to promote the growth of lumber and building product dealers, distributors, wholesalers, and the manufacturers who supply them.
Past winners of the exclusive ProDealer of the Year award include Denver-based Kodiak Building Partners (2023), Hancock Lumber of Maine (2022) and McCray Lumber & Millwork of Kansas City (2021).
