Dear 8th Grade Families,

The last chapter of your child’s journey as a student at St. Barnabas is quickly approaching. Watching them grow, learn, and lead over the years has been the greatest blessing. We are so honored to be part of their journey. One of our favorite quotes is, “It’s not how you start, but how you finish.” We want to see our 8th-grade students end strong. We encourage all parents/guardians to join us in reminding our students of the importance of being positive role models and leaders in the final weeks of their time at St. Barnabas so they can enjoy all the celebrations planned for them.

Below is an outline of the remaining events for our 8th-grade students. Each event includes a description along with the date, time, attire, and contact information should you have event-specific questions. You’ll also find a link to a May and early June calendar; we encourage you to print or save the calendar to a device. We have also included attire guidelines. With 13 events ahead for our 8th-grade students, we want to stress a unique outfit is not required for each event. We invite students to reuse, remix, or swap apparel with a friend!

We will continue to share 8th-grade news and reminders, and you can also expect to continue to hear from the dedicated 8th-Grade Parent Committee. But we wanted to share the details of dates, times, and attire as you continue to make your plans and preparations for the graduates. We recognize this is a lengthy email, but we hope you will find value in the content.

The class of 2023 will forever hold a special place in our hearts. We wish you a Happy Easter and a restful spring break. We look forward to welcoming back our students on Monday, April 17.

Mr. Stack and Ms. Sadowski.

REQUEST

A Note from the 8th-Grade Parent Committee

The committee has worked thoughtfully to control event costs, and they appreciate every committee leader's efforts to stretch their budget. However, rising costs have made it challenging to cover all the expenses within the original graduation budget. Therefore, the committee is requesting an additional voluntary donation of $30 from each family to cover the budget difference. Please donate to Ann McNamara: Venmo @Ann-McNamara-1 (last four digits of phone 4766) or Zelle 773-771-4766.
