1. Donate and join the Langley High School PTSA. A great way to support the efforts of the PTSA is to donate! We rely solely on your donations to accomplish the programming and events that support Langley. One hundred percent of your donations are used for the Langley High School community.

Note, this year we reduced the amount for membership so that you recognize the $7 membership fee goes outside of Langley -- the $7 goes to the state/local and national PTA organization.

Membership entitles you to vote at our meetings, but it is not required to attend our events, volunteer or request funds. If you want to support Langley and the programming at Langley, please donate! Click here to join and support the PTSA.

2. Stay Connected--sign up for the PTSA eNews. Sign up for the PTSA's weekly eNews email and stay informed and connected.

3. Volunteer for the PTSA! The PTSA has been hard at work. Won't you support us? We need volunteers! We have many opportunities for one-time volunteer opportunities, or you can serve on a committee or help lead an event. Let us know if you're interested! Click here to volunteer!

your ptsa has already been busy

Classes haven't started yet, but the PTSA has been busy creating a welcoming environment for the Langley community.

  • The PTSA welcomed new hires with breakfast on their first day at Langley last week. Langley has some wonderful teachers joining Saxon Country this year. Make sure to welcome them!
  • The wonderful PTSA Hospitality Committee created a feast to welcome back all Langley staff on Monday
  • The PTSA partnered with the Student Services team to host a Kickball Tournament and BBQ lunch for the entire staff to start the year off on a positive fun note, getting to know the new members of the staff in a relaxed environment. Mother Nature cooperated as well and gave everyone a beautiful day!
  • Today the PTSA and volunteers from several other parent booster groups on campus came together to welcome new families and freshman students to Langley. Experienced high school parents were on hand to answer questions and offer support.
  • The PTSA funded improvements to the Langley campus, to include murals in the gym and Langley Hall as well as providing new hallway signs to help new students navigate the numbered hallways!

Counselor Lauren Lipton and Braden Peterson spearheaded the fabulous team building event.

LHS PTSA Hospitality Committee welcomes staff back to school.

You’ll find useful information from several LHS clubs, organizations, booster clubs, class parents and the PTSA.

school bus safety

Parents and student drivers! Take a few moments to review school bus safety here at the beginning of the school year.

Drivers must stop in both directions when a stopped school bus is loading or unloading children, unless separated from the bus by a median. When there is a median, all lanes of traffic following the bus must stop (see configuration 4 in the diagram). It is considered reckless driving - a criminal offense - if you pass a stopped school bus unloading children.

See more about back to school safety on the FCPS website. We all help students arrive at school and back home safely each day.
