Haribol Yogis:

I can’t believe it’s been one year since we officially shifted to BYS Yoga Collective. Personally, it has meant a lot to me to step into the role of co-managing the studio with these lovely ladies, especially since this has been my h(om)e for 13 years. It hasn’t been without its challenges, as with any new adventure. It has definitely put me into “beginner’s mind,” a place that can be vulnerable & quite humbling most of the time.

This experience of taking on new commitments is similar to the philosophy of our yoga practice: getting pushed out of the comfort zone, playing at the edge, and observing the experience without judgment and finding some contentment in the growing process. This is my yoga right now.

Our collective yoga family is so special, and I am feeling so blessed to be a part of it. I hope we can sustain it, grow it, and love it even more this year! Thank you for all your support.

With gratitude,
w/ Meeraj Moosa

Adding resistance bands to your yoga practice is a perfect way to strengthen your entire range of motion. The incorporation of external load on the body by way of a resistance band not only adds stability to your structure, but can also result in proprioceptive gains and motor control. Come rediscover familiar shapes of asana with an inventive approach to this living tradition of yoga which will help stabilize your body, enhance your mobility, & create joint resilience. Students will receive resistance bands to take home as part of the workshop.
