amplifyHERscience
Tuesday Touch-Base
amplifyHERscience is all about bringing opportunities to our women faculty and promoting their successes as inspiration to others. We are delighted to share that 4 women applicants were selected to progress to the semi-finalist stage of the 2020/21 Blavatnik Fund application process. This meant their ideas and presentations were reviewed by 2 separate panels of venture capitalists, pharma and biotech experts, and were presented at Yale Lifesciences PitchFest to over 300 viewers including approx. 150 different companies. Fantastic exposure!

Even better, Anjelica Gonzalez Ph.D., Associate Professor of Biomedical Engineering, won the audience choice award on day 1 and the Most Valuable Pitch for her presentation on behalf of Aero Therapeutics: Preclinical Validation of a Low-cost Versatile Respirator. Congratulations Anjelica!

The next opportunity to present your ideas through an event organized by OCR will be the Innovation Summit – May 19, 2021. There will be a limited number of 5 minute pitches, but many electronic posters. If you have an idea, start talking with one of our OCR Business Development colleagues or reach out to the amplifyHERscience team.

More about all 4 presenters below. Congratulations to them all!
