Dear Bernard,,
How familiar are you with AI (Artificial Intelligence)?
We have mentioned this before, but you probably encounter it much more than you think. Programs such as customer service numbers that rout your calls when you use your phone. Google states that some of the most popular AI tools, or digital assistants are:
- Siri (Apple)
- Alexa (Amazon)
- Cortana (Microsoft)
- Google Assistant (Google)
- Bixby (Samsung)
Springsapp.com states that currently in 2025:
- 57,933 AI companies currently operate around the world.
- 25% of artificial intelligence firms operate in the US.
-
$154 billion was spent on artificial intelligence solutions.
- 35% of the world’s businesses work with AI.
- The global AI market is valued at $207.9 billion, showing a 50% increase from 2022.
With all of this AI power and information, I am sure many people in the service industry wonder when they will be replaced. This thought has even been presented in the financial services sector.
Sometimes I have to wonder, where will AI come into play in the financial advice area. Each week I receive seminar, webinar, and various articles pointing out how AI can be used in my industry.
For the time being, it seems to be similar to other industries. Phone systems or customer service directions, possibly creation of articles, editing (both are available in this platform) and even things like note taking and compliance issues.
However, I feel that financial planning/financial services will always be a face-to-face industry. I feel you need to know the person you are trusting with your financial future or investments. In addition, things that may seem the proper financial choice do not make the most practical choice. So much of what we do is not about is not about dollars and cents but about dollars and sense.
If you would like to talk more about this, please let us know. We are always happy to share our knowledge.
As always, thanks for reading.
Bernie & Chad
