This wine is cellared at the winery for five years prior to release. By now you know that the 2015 vintage is both incredible and drinking incredibly. This bottle is hauntingly beautiful. When first opened 45 minutes ago it was amazing with dusty cherry and various bits of intriguing nuance. Now it is layered with cherry and darker wild raspberry at the front palate. Saffron and allspice beautifully infuse the fruit. The mid palate and finish show leather and cigar box with more exotic spice and an emergence of blueberry. The minerality is focused and the overall structure is impeccable. This is one of those wines which will be sensational with anything from a seared tuna steak to Peking Duck or cowboy steak rare.
