changing your story

Well! It has been a minute since I have had a minute to breath and write! So welcome back to me and you ... and apologies for the lapse since my last issue May 1. It's back to SNIPPETS after a harrowing year of prepping to move residences.

(Reiteration - MOVING AIN'T FOR SISSIES!)

I finally have my "life back" after moving, settling, unpacking, and decorating our new home - which I did in record speed so I could get back to my life. It was a good decision for me and Hubs, a good move, and we are totally loving being back in my home town. Everything seems to be only 5 minutes away, including many family members. We have discovered many advantages. And our four kids now will never have to clean out that monster house we left behind. We did it - on our own terms.

We changed our story ...

Did we plan it? Nope. It all sort of just morphed into this new scenario. Hubs and I weren't looking to move, we weren't looking for a new house, we weren't looking to "right-size." It was purely accidental and coincidental, so we rolled with it.

Did we doubt the decision? Sometimes

Did it scare us? Oh yeah

Is this new situation good for us? We think so

Changing your story isn't always easy, snippeteers. But hopefully you agree that switching things around - shaking it up - can be GOOD for us.

Will it scare you? Hell yeah

Will you second-guess yourself? Sometimes

Will it be good for you? Probably

So roll with it ... you'll see on the other side how it was all meant to be. It will work out.

This quote came around the other day ... Your current situation is not your final destination. God is still writing your story.

Oh yeah.

snippeteer backtalk

on "going for less"

read previous SNIPPETS here >>>

"LESS!! No one wants the stuff we have collected and saved. If we don't get rid of it on our own terms, when the time comes and it is someone else's job to get rid of it, the dumpster will come up to the house and OUT IT WILL GO. So go thru your memory boxes, enjoy them, shed a tear or two, and then get rid of them on your own!!"

~ Joanne in New York

"I'm all in for LESS! So freeing!!"

~ Kelly in Maryland

"Good for you! It truly is liberating letting so much go! Hope you have an easy move into your new digs! Peace, love and blessings

~ Bernadette in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware

queen of quotes

the things we complain about ...

might be the things someone

else is praying for

  • expensive bills? means you have a roof over your head
  • stuck in traffic? means you have somewhere to go
  • dirty dishes? means you have food on your table
  • long day at work? means you have a job
  • delayed flight? means you get to travel
  • annoying parents? means you still have them around
