state housing tax credit available to support middle-income housing development

CHFA’s Middle-income Housing Tax Credit (MIHTC) program supports the development of affordable rental housing serving Coloradans whose incomes range from 80 to 120 percent of the Area Median Income (AMI) and up to 140 percent AMI in rural resort counties.

The 2026 MIHTC Allocation Plan is available on CHFA's website.

CHFA is currently accepting Letters of Intent (LOIs) for MIHTC applications online. Concept meetings are also required.

LOIs are due on March 16th by 5:00pm MT. Applications are due on May 18th by 5:00pm MT.
