Thank you to all of our customers and industry partners who made a record number of multifamily loan commitments at CHFA possible in 2024. CHFA saw the highest number of commitments in its history, totaling $245.4 million as of the date of this eNews. We appreciate your input, trust, and continued support. Featured below are two of the projects CHFA funded in 2024.

overlook at uplands

One remarkable project in 2024 is Overlook at Uplands, the largest deal funded this year, and the largest multifamily loan in CHFA’s history.  CHFA was proud to support the development in Westminster with a construction-to-permanent loan of $67,173,000. The loan was provided through the CHFA Construction and Permanent Affordable Bond Loan (CAPABLE) program. CHFA also provided an award of $3,899,895 in federal 4 percent Housing Tax Credits and $45,770,000 in Private Activity Bonds in 2023. Overlook at Uplands will include 247 units serving individuals and families with incomes between 40 percent and 70 percent of Area Median Income (AMI).

residences at willow park

Another project funded in 2024, Residences at Willow Park is noteworthy because the housing development includes both preservation and new construction. CHFA was proud to support the development in Aurora with a construction-to-permanent loan of $23,920,000 through the CAPABLE program. CHFA also provided an award of $1,511,893 in federal 4 percent Housing Tax Credits in 2023. Residences at Willow Park will have 86 units, consisting of the rehabilitation of 64 of the existing 68 units, demolition and replacement of four units, and additional construction of 18 new units and a community space. The development will serve individuals and families with incomes between 30 percent and 60 percent of the AMI.
