affordable homes for our fellow Coloradans.

featured development: crawford townhomes

CHFA was proud to support the Crawford Townhomes development in Pueblo through its SIMPLE loan program alongside a Capital Magnet Fund (CMF) loan and a CMF grant. Crawford Townhomes will include 49 units of affordable rental housing serving households with incomes from 30 percent to 60 percent of the Area Median Income (AMI).

Crawford Townhomes is part of a multi-phase redevelopment plan of a larger public housing development known as Sangre De Cristo. CHFA was pleased to support prior phases of the redevelopment effort with permanent financing. Crawford Townhomes will offer a mix of floorplans to accommodate various households sizes, and amenities will include on-site management, a playground, a picnic area, and a basketball court.

CHFA recently provided construction to permanent financing for the acquisition and rehabilitation of Weatherstone Apartments in Aurora. The loan was provided through CHFA’s Construction and Permanent Affordable Bond Loan (CAPABLE) program, and supports the rehabilitation and preservation of affordable housing.

Upon completion, Weatherstone Apartments will include 204 units serving families with incomes at 60 percent of AMI. Construction will include the renovation of the existing site and structures, and rehabilitation efforts will focus on energy efficiency upgrades, accessibility improvements, modern amenities, and an expanded community space.
