Seneca County Republican Party
The county fair starts Monday, and we have volunteer opportunities available for you! Here is the schedule, with several evenings open, and some daytime slots to fill. You'll be paid in all the popcorn you can eat. (Actually, you get to pop it.) A limited number of free day passes for volunteers will be available by replying to this email.

We have 1000 fans, cold water and hot popcorn to hand out free to fair goers, with plenty of chairs to relax. I have invited all statewide candidates, but none has confirmed they will attend. Hopefully all our local elected officials will stop by the tent to talk to voters or volunteer for a shift (hint hint). Even if you can't stay for a full shift, perhaps you can stop by for a few minutes to give our volunteer a break.

John and Kelly Spahr are in charge again this year. You can contact them at 419-618-3173 or email . He sent this note and schedule:

Due to some unforeseen family scheduling, Kelly and I are planning on setting up the display walls on Sunday at noon at the fairgrounds, not Saturday as originally planned. We had intended on re-painting the walls this year, but my schedule didn't allow it. We'll have to do it for next year.

Elva Einsel
Brian Courtney reported this week that Elva Einsel passed away a few weeks ago. She was the widow of Major General David W. Einsel. They were active in our party for many years after his retirement from an illustrious career in the Army. Among her many friends was their former neighbor, Colin Powell. According to Elva's obituary , she and Dave met on a 9-way blind date. They are buried in Arlington National Cemetery.
I plan to be at the fair at different times every day, so I hope to see you there.

Sincerely,

David W. Koehl
Chairman, Seneca County Republican Party
Member, Seneca County Board of Elections
