Happy Black History Month!
Dance Master: Misty Copeland
As the first black principal dancer in the premiere company American Ballet Theater, Misty Copeland is not only a fantastically talented dancer but also an inspiration to black ballerinas, and, more generally, dancers of color, everywhere.
We Support Black Lives Matter
In June of 2020, danceCREATE participated in a peaceful protest put on by artists. Maria Del Bagno led the diamonds exercise for the hundreds of people who came to demonstrate.

Love is in the air as Valentine’s Day approaches!
What better way to celebrate a day of love than by
expressing ourselves through dance and community?
Student Spotlight: Karen Lavediere
I have loved dance since I was a little kid but also hadn't taken any formal dance classes since I was a little kid. When Maria offered a free dance class I decided to check it out. I have rekindled that love for dance. I have learned a lot of dance basics which has helped me a lot when I dance in class and in life. I have really improved since I first started taking the danceCREATE dance classes! And I'm having a lot of fun! It is also a really good workout!
