Hi friend,
may your day be #winning.

Stay gold, ponyboy:

It's hard to believe it's been a year since we began our quarantine binge. This Sunday, we'll get to reap the fruits of our couch-laying labors as our favorites take home the gold. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler reunite (to my utmost delight!) to host the Golden Globes, where we'll likely see another Schitt's Creek sweep and the first wins of many for The Queen's Gambit. I must also give honorable mentions to Palm Springs and The Undoing, though they may not outshine their fellow nominees (however, Hugh Grant is full of surprises!). And now, The Trial of the Chicago 7 is at the top of my weekend watchlist.

I've included all of the major noms here, which will be updated with live results. Let me know your #1 picks!

Texas was wrecked by winter storms last week. As a new Austin resident myself, the sense of community I witnessed was incredibly heartwarming during the coldest time most here have ever experienced. Breweries swiftly offered free water to those without, and restaurants gave free food until they ran out. After a worldwide pandemic, we've seen people step up to support small businesses - and now small businesses turned right back around to help the people. Where the richest country in the world can't seem to find a solution, I've found solace in the agility and generosity of our neighbors. Here's how Texas communities came together.
