e- & mHealth SIG Newsletter
Welcome to our pre-conference newsletter :-)
Dear e- & mHealth SIG members,

It's again this time of the year; the ISBNPA annual meeting is just around the corner and we hope you are gearing up to it. Although it is sad that we won't be able to see each other in person this time around, the online format adopted this year holds promise. Thanks to all who have submitted e- & mhealth-related abstracts. We are lucky that 18 live presentations will feature from 8th to 10th June. We will also have two live SIG meetings that you can join.

In this newsletter, we give you all the info you need to delve into the e- & mhealth events happening during the ISBNPA Xchange 2021. We will also give you a quick summary of our first joint webinar that was all about e- & mHealth and real-world impact. Finally, we will share with you our short list for the 2020 publication award.

Let's get right into it!

Webinar Recap
In April we collaborated with the ISBNPA Implementation and Scalability SIG to discuss large-scale implementation of e- & mHealth approaches in our webinar "From tiny trials to at-scale implementation of e-&mHealth technology: steps taken, lessons learned, behaviors changed."

Corneel Vandelanotte, PhD, Research Professor at CQ University in Australia described the history and process of the 10,000 steps program, which has been continually funded for 20+ years, and how "build it, and they will come" is not the case in e- & mHealth.

Alison Brown, PhD candidate, at the University of Newcastle and Hunter New England Population Health in Australia, described the process from pilot study, RCT, to program scale up for a lunch box intervention. She detailed challenges and opportunities, including leveraging an app the school was already using.
