Great is God’s Faithfulness, 587 Families Are Served
By Evie Hao
Serving Aloha (SA) served the largest number of guests to date on Wednesday, April 7—587 families! Trays of eggs and food from Aloha Harvest that morning were enough for about almost 300 bags, but so many more bags were needed for all guests waiting in line.
God is faithful. On April 3, the Saturday before that Wednesday, Market City Shopping Center, led by owners Marvin and Sandy Fong, had donated its collection of canned goods, nonperishable foods, and cash donations combined with $1,000.00 Market City Shopping Center to CUC’s Serving Aloha.
SA’s food coordinators Fanny Yeung and Veronica Cheung said, “God has a plan. His timing is perfect. We were able to pack over 350 bags with the (Market City) donations. God is Good!” Marvin and Sandra Fong of Market City Shopping Center are members of Central Union.
LEGISLATIVE UPDATE of Faith Action’s Task Forces
During the 2021 legislative session the Legislature seems to have directed most of its attention and energy toward the effect of Covid-19 on the economy and the State budget. As a result, the Legislature didn’t do much about other issues – critical though they might be.

The 2021 legislative session will end on April 29. Here is a summary of how Faith Action’s issues have fared so far.
