Every year on the Sunday closest to October 4th, the feast of St. Francis of Assisi*, many people of faith around the world participate in events where animals are blessed.

We will celebrate a blessing of pets on Sunday, October 2nd, in the in-person and online worship services.

Please send the name and a photo of your pet by Thursday, September 29th, to [email protected] to be included in the online service.

*St. Francis of Assisi lived a life of simplicity, charity and humility in the 13^thcentury. He is remembered as a champion of justice and lover of animals.

In October, our whole Central Union ‘ohana will engage in a stewardship journey. You are invited to join us in moving through our devotional, The Big Secret of Giving: Hidden Treasures in Life and Church, a collection of daily meditations.

Paper copies of the devotional will be made available at the in-person worship services in October and can also be picked up in the church office after October 2.

Give Aloha at Foodland in September!

We benefit tremendously when you Give Aloha at Foodland! Make your money go further at Foodland during the month of September! For each dollar given through the Give Aloha program, Foodland and the Western Union Foundation will match a portion of that donation. The Chancel Choir, under the direction of Rebecca Chock, has begun a new season. They meet for practice on Thursday evenings at 6:00 p.m., in the Music Building. If you love to sing, the Choir would welcome your participation!
