Online Worship Link
The Rev. Valerie A. Ross is an Associate Conference Minister in the Hawaii Conference UCC. As a part of her portfolio she is currently engaged in rolling out and implementing the new Innovation and Engagement (I&E) Missional Team which will exist to provoke and support congregations in the HCUCC to create the church we want to see in the future, by creating Pipelines to Leadership, Extending the Roots of Ministry and Transforming Space. Rev. Ross says, "I am empowered by the scripture reminder, 'Without a vision the people perish.' It is this that sparks my passion to cast and implement vision. The developing of vision and inspiring a strong sense of mission are essential to improving the health of all areas of ministry. My vision for ministry is to serve the Body of Christ through teaching, counseling, and developing strategic programs for the church and community. These programs will utilize Scripture and tradition with appropriate tools relevant to the Church and the culture. My personal vision is to continually grow in my own faith and in the knowledge and grace of Christ."

Dr. Sunyong Hwang
Worship Musician
We are no longer required to take temperatures; however, we are still asking folks to sign in and everyone who attends will need to wear a mask. Singing during the worship service has resumed. All guidelines will be posted in the sanctuary and should be reviewed before being seated.

Help us welcome Rebecca Woodland as our speaker. She has just returned from her graduation from Vancouver School of Theology after receiving her Master of Divinity degree.  Rebecca will be speaking for the rest of this month. The Kaimalino Serenaders will be returning from their pandemic hiatus and will be presenting two songs and Queen’s Prayer to add to the service on May 22.  We will celebrate a special joint service with representatives from the Honolulu Marshallese UCC congregation and Central Union Church on Sunday, May 29.

Centering Prayer
All are welcome to join the Centering Prayer groups by Zoom.

Focus on Prayer
The Mind*Body*Spirit movement wants to invite us all to continue focusing our hearts in prayer for the Ukraine this week. Pray also for the many surrounding countries that are reaching out to help. Perhaps we can pray too for leaders in all countries to be open to the power of LOVE. All things are possible to God.
We will have written prayers available at the in-person service to stimulate and encourage our spirits as we prayer.

Silence is God’s first language, everything else is a poor translation.
So, to hear God in God’s language one has to enter into silence too. (Thomas Keating)
Walking Moai
Moai is a concept from Okinawa, Japan, that roughly translates to “coming together for a common purpose”. Join a CUC Moai walking group―it’s a great way to expand your social network while also getting in some physical activity.
