Village of Johnsburg's e-Blast

Congratulation's New Employee – Ethan J. Hoffman

With the upcoming retirement of Village Administrator Claudett Sofiakis this summer, current Assistant Village Administrator Vinny LaMontagna will be assuming the role of Village Administrator. After an extensive interview process, we are pleased to announce that Ethan J. Hoffman has joined the Village of Johnsburg as of February 9, 2026, and will serve as the new Assistant Village Administrator. His Official Oath of Office is anticipated on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at the Village Board meeting.

Mr. Hoffman comes to Johnsburg with municipal experience and a strong background in administration, community engagement, communications, and operational management. He previously worked with the Village of Algonquin and the Village of Lincolnshire, where he supported executive leadership, coordinated board and commission activities, assisted with budget preparation and policy implementation, and led communication initiatives to enhance transparency and resident engagement.

In Mr. Hoffman’s new role with the Village of Johnsburg, he will be responsible for:

  • Assisting the Village Administrator in managing day-to-day operations.
  • Assisting with the implementation of policies and programs approved by the Village Board.
  • Overseeing Village communications, including press releases, newsletters, and e-blasts.
  • Coordinating Village events and managing the Village’s website and social media platforms.
  • Serving as the Deputy Clerk and acting on behalf of the Village Administrator in their absence.
  • Fostering collaboration across departments to ensure efficient and responsive municipal services.

His expertise will be invaluable as we continue to improve, grow, and enhance collaboration across operations in the Village of Johnsburg.

Please join us in giving Ethan J. Hoffman a warm welcome to the Village of Johnsburg.
