PCA—The 935 won 123 of the 370 races it entered. This month we look at “The Shark,” a 1977 935 that raced at Le Mans three times and was named “Best Restored Porsche” at Rennsport Reunion VI. Looking to promote the upcoming Cayenne SUV back in 2000, PCNA PR director Bob Carlson planned an off-road adventure in the Grand Canyon with two modified 1999 Carrera 4s, “Max and Petunia.” During his time as a member of Porsche’s works race team in the late 1960s, Jochen Neerpasch was given a very special 911S Targa. We reunite him with it for a little “Targa Practice." Anesthesiologist Will Szerenyi learned about cars from his father, who had a pristine 1982 911E. Years later, the “Rock Doc” honors his father’s memory with his Oslo Blue GT3 Touring Edition.
Also, Robert Plotkin does a “Tire Drill” to find out which tires offer the best performance for a vintage 911, and Porsche introduces the all-wheel-drive Taycan Sport Turismo.

Photo by Peter Bleakney. Upper Canada Region. "While testing this 2018 911 Carrera T, I made a new friend with a nicely restored 1969 911T. Almost 40 years separated them, but despite the chasm in power, technology, and years, these two Ts essentially talked the same talk. We had a blast tossing them around some back roads near my house."
