Practice of the Week: Pay Attention to Blessing By taking blessings in, your happiness will become more unconditional, increasingly based on an inner fullness rather than on external conditions. But over time those little differences will add up, gradually weaving positive experiences into the fabric of your brain and your whole being. READ MORE

Upcoming Worship Services

Sun Jul 28, 10:00am, Fellowship Hall
"Unearthing Miracles"
Rev. Catherine Torpey
One of the covenants that Unitarian Universalist congregations make to one another is "encouragement to spiritual growth." Growth is something we tend to want, and can't tend to force. The best we can do is to create the conditions, one of which is the ability to find the miraculous. Rev. Torpey served the South Nassau UU Congregation for nine years and is now the Exec Director of the International Focusing Institute.

Sun Aug 4, 10:00am, Fellowship Hall
"Finding Peace in Solitude"
Rev. ReBecca Sala
We explore the nature of loneliness and the difference between being alone and being lonely. Technology is supposed to connect us to the world but can make us feel even more isolated and disconnected. How do we find and appreciate moments of authentic connection with others as well as find peace within ourselves? Rev. Sala is the Affiliated Community Minister at UUFNW Mt Kisco, and Manager of Pastoral Care at Stamford Hospital.

News From Environmental Practices

Fully electric small aircraft travel is coming soon. New propeller-driven craft inspired by drone technology are being developed for sport and air taxi travel. These craft will be powered by efficient and light electric motors that are pollution free and are cheaper to operate than conventional fuel-powered motors. To see how, view the 12-minute TEDx Talk HERE.
Relax and Put You Feet Up

The CUUC Past Prime Time Dance Group will be taking July off. We expect to start again in August at our usual time, Wednesday mornings at 8:30am in Fellowship Hall. Stay tuned for updates! Contact: Terri Kung (terrikung@yahoo.com).

In October 2018, South Presbyterian Church in Dobbs Ferry became the first sanctuary church in Westchester County. The church is raising funds to build a permanent apartment inside their building to provide refuge for immigrant families while they fight their cases. Learn more and donate HERE.
Share the Plate for July & August: Murray Grove

This summer we share half our non-pledge collection with Murray Grove Retreat and Renewal Center, the only Unitarian Universalist conference center in the Metro area and the site traditionally considered to be where Universalism in America began.
