We need your contact info!
Congregations are reminded that the deadline for submitting Annual Reporting forms is April 1. This is particularly important because now, more than ever, we need the correct contact information for your church leadership.

You can access the form here, or from the diocesan website under Resources for Congregations. Look for the button that says Annual Reporting.
Bishop's Lenten Series: Live panel discussion Sunday
As a follow up to the bishop’s presentations, a live panel discussion moderated by Missioner for Fresh Expressions the Rev. Canon Jane Gerdsen, will take place on Sunday afternoon (March 29) at 2 p.m. via Zoom. Panelists will include Bishop Tom Breidenthal, and from Christ Church Cathedral, the Very Rev. Gail Greenwell, Dean, and Dan Carlson, Director of Youth and Young Adults.

You can view the first two weeks' presentations here. Participants can submit questions in advance of the live discussion by emailing them to lentenseries@cccath.org. The panelists will begin their discussion with questions that have been pre-submitted. You will also have the opportunity to ask questions during the live discussion.

To join the discussion on your computer, follow  this link or the link from the diocesan homepage.

If you have never used Zoom before, you may first need to download the software to your computer. This will take a few minutes so you will want to do this well ahead of the starting time of 2 p.m.

  • When prompted, enter your name and email address, then click Join Webinar.
  • Make sure that your computer's speakers are turned on and the volume is turned up.
  • Questions can be asked of the panelists using the Question & Answer (Q&A) feature in Zoom.

The panel discussion will also be recorded and available later on the Lenten Series showcase page,  https://vimeo.com/showcase/cccdsolentenseries.
Online Stations of the Cross
We are designing a Stations of the Cross for online use leading up to Easter. Many of our churches have beautiful and unique Stations.

Please send photos of two or three of your favorite Stations at your church. It's simple to do while no one else is around, using your phone, and send them to  lareat@diosohio.org. We will edit them and add voice over, then add them to our diocesan resource page. We need the photos by March 31.
Easter videos
The bishop has invited all clergy as well as wardens in charge of congregations to participate in the Easter service that will be streamed by the cathedral. Congregations can participate by filming a brief (30 seconds or less) Easter message or statement from your congregation that will be shown and heard as part of the Easter service.

You can create the video with whatever equipment you have - a cell phone camera will work as well as any other video recorder. If you've never done anything like this before, our communications department is happy to help you.  Click here  for some basic guidelines on creating your video, and when it is finished, email the video to  communication@diosohio.org .

It will be hard to celebrate Easter while physically seperate from one another, but the videos are an opportunity here to claim an even deeper connection to one another.
Being the church while physically distancing
We may be physically distancing, but still connecting with our neighbors to fill their basic needs. Check out some pics from last evening's feeding ministry at St. John's, Columbus on our Facebook page .
Note everyone following their 6 feet distancing!
