The PIA Executive of the Year Award honors an individual for being a long-term major contributor to the graphic arts industry in Southern California. Nominees for this award should meet the following criteria:

• Nominees must be C-Level executives or the equivalent

• Successful in his or her chosen profession.

• A person who shares time and talent to work toward the advancement of the printing industry.

• Worked 20 years in the graphic arts industry, with at least ten or more those years in Southern California.

• Must provide three industry leader references.

Jan Gottesman

Jan Gottesman, President of Kelly Spicers, has been named the 2024 Executive of the Year by the Printing Industries Association (PIA) for her leadership and impact on the graphics communications industry. With a career spanning role at Neenah Paper, Kimberly-Clark, and Kelly Spicers, she has driven innovation and supported industry initiatives. Jan was the first female chair of the National Paper Trade Association and received the Stanley O. Styles Industry Excellence Award in 2022.

Holiday Krazy Kraft Day

During this special event, we will be offering hands-on activities, demonstrations, and special tours throughout the day. Activities include letterpress printing of cards, bookmarks, & keepsakes, as well as paper making, paper marbling, bookbinding, typewriting, calligraphy, and somuch more! For an additional fee, guests can screen print a t-shirt, too.

Introduction to Bookbinding:

Five Structures

Explore a variety of creative and playful approaches to book structures. In this hands-on workshop, participants will learn the basics as they develop mechanical knowledge to create simple, soft-cover blank notebooks and unique, scupltural book forms made from single pieces of paper. All materials provided.
