Proficio, the new master brand for the Xerox production press lineup, marks the beginning of a new era for Xerox production printing. Built on a platform approach that unites the most advanced imaging, automation, and AI-assisted intelligence from Xerox, the Proficio Production Series represents a cohesive family of presses engineered to drive measurable performance, efficiency, and profitability for every print provider. The Proficio PX300 & PX500 feature speeds of 85 and 100 ppm; ultra HD resolution with 5 color stations; Xerox Print Server powered by the Fiery® FS700X; & seamless integration into the Xerox end-to-end production print ecosystem. Xerox will begin regional rollout and order taking of the Proficio PX300 and PX500 in March 2026 with shipments expected in the first half of 2026.

Meteor Inkjet launces advanced DropWatcher optics for enhanced inkjet development
The new DropWatcher optics feature a high-intensity strobe with addressable pulse outputs and a fixed objective camera lens. This system dramatically improves image quality and resolution. It offers precise control over both strobe and camera exposure timings, enabling the user to observe the formation of an inkjet drop and elements of its creation that affect print quality. It overcomes the limitations of prior systems operated by synchronising the strobe with the printhead firing frequency, using a long exposure.

Epson Completes New Inkjet Printhead Factory at Tohoku Epson
This 33.5 million USD factory will approximately quadruple future printhead production capacity at Tohoku Epson. Demand for commercial and industrial inkjet printers is increasing along with an analog-to-digital technology shift in sectors where the printing media is not paper, such as in digital textile printing. Many commercial and industrial inkjet printers are now using PrecisionCore MicroTFP printheads which can be flexibly adapted for different applications by assembling MicroTFP print chips in various combinations. Epson expects further growth in the use of PrecisionCore printheads in commercial and industrial printers as well as in inkjet multifunction printers with high-speed lineheads.

Xaar's new Versatex Printbar meets growing demand for digital premium labels and braille
Xaar has launched the latest evolution of Versatex, its high-performance digital inkjet printbar. Designed to expand digital capability across a wide range of analogue print lines and converting machines, the new printbar meets the growing demand for label varnish, foil embellishment and braille. Powered by Nitrox printheads, it can jet fluids with viscosities of up to 1000 cP at ambient temperature (around 100 cP at jetting temperature). With Xaar’s High Creativity print mode and High Laydown Technology, it can achieve laydowns from 15 to 100µm in a single pass. An upgraded Meteor datapath, improves flexibility & data rates while supporting a wide variety of data workflows.
