Good Afternoon Scholars,
Thank you for your diligence and hard work during this first week of e-Learning.
Also, thank you for your patience as we continue to work through the kinks. We have never done anything like this before as a school, yet you have pulled through and have been persistent in completing your assignments.
We are so proud of you.
The academic vision for our school is as follows:
Our scholars will graduate from Holy Family Cristo Rey with the skills they need to be successful in college and will be independent, persistent, disciplined learners who are committed to growth.
Therefore, we need you to continue persisting and disciplining yourself and completing your assignments.
Consider this a growing pain. We are all growing, including the teachers and staff of Holy Family Cristo Rey. As a school, it is our responsibility to help make sure that you are growing and learning how to be a successful college graduate and adult.
We will not allow a virus to hinder us from fulfilling our mission.
For this reason, I need you to continue to do the following:
- Check your email. Email is the best way for us to communicate with you, and for you to communicate with your teachers and HFCR staff. Make sure you are checking your email at least three times a day.
- Complete the check-in form with your first period teacher. From this point forward, you only need to check-in with your first period teacher; we hope this will reduce confusion and make things easier for you.
- Complete all of your assignments. This is not just busy work. Your teachers give you assignments to assess your understanding and to make sure they are fulfilling their responsibility of teaching you. Completing your assignments on time and to the best of your ability helps your teachers help you.
As we move forward, our teachers and staff are
constantly
working on ways to better support our scholars and HFCR families as we navigate through these challenges. Even though we are not all together right now,
we are still here for you.
Please let us know when you have questions or are struggling so that we can help.
Thank you again.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Bethany Knighten
Principal
