How Customer Surveys Improve Your Bottom Line
Nearly every company spends some portion of revenue on research and development ("R&D").  The benefit, of course, is greater revenue in the future.  While "R&D" connotes an image of white-smocked scientists working in some secret "skunk works" laboratory,  R&D for distributors takes a different form:  customer surveys.

Click here to learn more about how customer surveys can improve a distributor's bottom line and for tips on conducting an effective customer survey.

Featured Feature:  RELATED ITEMS

Are the part numbers in your ERP system exactly as the manufacturer defines them?  (They should be.  Click here for reasons why.)  If not, how are other WarehouseTWO members going to find your items, if your part numbers do not match the part numbers that other members are searching for?

The answer:  WarehouseTWO's RELATED ITEMS functionality.

Using RELATED ITEMS, create cross-references between your part numbers and manufacturer-defined part numbers.  Or cross-reference old-style items that you still have in stock with more current, functionally equivalent items.  The result is that more of your items may appear in search results at WarehouseTWO, increasing the chance of getting a sale.

Upcoming Training

Distribution "Quip" of the Month

"If you torture the data long enough, it will confess."

(Attributed to economist Ronald H. Coase)

Got a favorite work-related quip?  or a snippet of wisdom applicable to the world of wholesale-distribution?  Share it with us.
WarehouseTWO Tip of the Month

Keep your item descriptions short.  Your descriptions should be no longer than forty (40) characters.  This will keep your posted items displayed in one line, allowing for more items to appear on the screen.  As long as you are using the manufacturer's EXACT part number as your posted part number, other distributors should know what your posted item is, even without a long description.  (Are you NOT using the manufacturer's EXACT part number in your ERP system?  Yikes.  Put your new employees out of their misery:  click here.)
Referral Rewards Program

The easiest way to get more value from your WarehouseTWO account is to increase participation by other distributors and manufacturers.  Over the years, many of you have been loyal "evangelists", recommending WarehouseTWO to peer distributors, to manufacturers and to associations and marketing groups.

We want to encourage and compensate you for the results of your efforts.  To learn more about our "WarehouseTWO Referral Rewards" program, and how you and your company can benefit, click here.

Mental Gymnastics:  Just for Fun!

Twelve toothpicks are arranged to create a "tic-tac-toe" board, as shown in the illustration to the right.

The Challenge
Re-arrange three, and only three, toothpicks to create three equal-sized squares, using all twelve toothpicks.

Click here to submit your answer by Friday, February 16th, 2018.  Attach to your email response a document, such as a scanned drawing, that shows how you solved this month's challenge.  (Show which three toothpicks you moved and where you moved them to.)  Only your first response will be considered.  The first correct responder will receive a $20 gift card.  All other correct responders will be entered into a drawing for two additional $20USD gift cards.
