TEAM Updates

Mr. Mehul Gandhi

We want to ask for your prayers and well wishes as Mr. Mehul Gandhi leaves for his deployment on Monday, March 11th.  We were able to pray over him at a recent Mass and our middle school students surprised him with an afternoon of games, celebrations, and a few of his favorite things.  We are blessed and honored to have Mr. Mehul Gandhi on staff and we are even more blessed to have his service and dedication to our country in his role as an Air National Guard.  Mr. Gandhi’s deployment will continue through the summer, but we look forward to his return for the 24-25 school year.

Mr. Jack Slade

We welcome Mr. Jack Slade to our middle school team as he will be serving as a long term substitute for Mr. Gandhi for the remainder of the school year. Mr. Slade is a passionate teacher and loves helping students live up to their potential. He earned a degree in political science from Le Moyne College and a Master’s in secondary education from Syracuse University. He and his wife Francine moved to Maryland in 2022. He is an avid DC United fan and he resides in Elkridge, Maryland and attends Mass here at CCASTA. He is very excited to join the Saint Augustine team.

Family Survey Time

Dear Saint Augustine Catholic School Families,

As we begin the month of March, we turn our focus on the PBIS trait of respect.  During this Lenten season, we have many opportunities to learn about respect. We demonstrate our respect for one another, our parents, teachers, by the choices we make, the words we say, and by simply asking ourselves what would Jesus do? We also focus on forgiveness and to come together as one body in Christ to receive Reconciliation, participate in Stations of the Cross, Adoration, and our weekly Masses. We are blessed as a Catholic school family to celebrate our faith and to prepare for Easter together.

New this year, the school and the Archdiocese of Baltimore is asking for your participation in a new survey from our accreditation partners at Cognia.  This survey is in replacement of the JHU Culture Surveys that we have been administering annually for the past several years.  Aligned to our accreditation goals and Catholic identity, we will be soliciting your feedback over the next week and a half to help us identify our strengths and areas for growth as a school family. This survey is intended for parents. We appreciate your time to complete this survey linked below.

Archdiocese of Baltimore Family Survey 2024

“I am giving you a new commandment, that you love one another.  Just as I have loved you, so you too are to love one another.  By this, everyone will know that you are My disciples if you have love and unselfish concern for one another.” - John 12:34-35

In Christ,

  Mr. Joseph Miller
