From the Desk of the Principal

Dear St. Augustine School Families,

We are so proud of the amazing accomplishments of our students this year utilizing their God-given talents. I want to congratulate our middle school girls who represented our school at the annual Math Olympiad competition at The Catholic High School of Baltimore. Our team of Anna, Ella, Isabella, and Francesca placed 1st overall! We also brought home both 1st and 2nd place in the individual competition and want to congratulate both Ella and Anna on this outstanding achievement! Mrs. Kaplan and I enjoyed working with these teams to prepare, and also came home with a 1st place win in the adult competition.

We want to congratulate our Cross Country Team made up of 55 of our students who have been competing throughout the fall. Our record board has been updated almost on a weekly basis due to the improving race times of these students. More than anything else, I want to congratulate our team and coaches for all of the accolades being received for their sportsmanship, camaraderie, and for modeling what it means to be an SAS Angel. The next meet is on Saturday at 8 am at St. Mark School. Come out and support the team!

Our Race for Education is off to a fantastic start. After just two weeks of fundraising, we have already reached 62% of our goal! The school will be able to use all of the proceeds to directly support our faculty and staff to enhance the learning experience for all of our students. Thank you to all our families who have set up a fundraising page, and if you have not had a chance to create a page or spread the word, please do so and share the good happening here at St. Augustine Catholic School.

It was also great to see many of you at our Oktoberfest event on Saturday evening. We are grateful to the team of volunteers who collaborated to organize this fun community event for our families.

Our faculty and staff are so excited to meet with you to discuss your children’s progress during our parent-teacher conferences. As a reminder, we have a scheduled half-day on Friday to accommodate these conferences. Your partnership is greatly appreciated as we best support your children throughout the school year.
