When Quoting a "Promise Date" for a Backordered Item, are you a "Padder"?
Which of these statements best describes your company's approach when quoting to your customer a "promise date" for an item currently not in stock?

"If we don't quote the promise date that our customer wants, we will lose the order."

"If we keep over-promising and under-delivering, we will lose the customer."

Which approach is better?

Member Feedback

"'BROADCAST REQUEST' has to be one of the most brilliant things ever created for distributors.  It worked like a charm today.  I needed some obsolete fittings to complete a large order.  I would never have been able to meet my customer's price and lead time demands without it."

Distribution "Quip" of the Month

"Getting 'an order' is not the same as getting 'the business'.  Getting 'the fourth order' is more like getting 'the business'."

Got a favorite work-related quip?  Or a snippet of wisdom applicable to the world of wholesale-distribution?  Share it with us .
WarehouseTWO Tip of the Month

Before requesting access to a branded inventory-sharing community at WarehouseTWO, verify that your company is listed in the corresponding manufacturer's on-line distributor locator tool.  This is how we check to see if you are an authorized distributor of the product line corresponding to the brand-specific community.  If we do not see your company listed at the manufacturer's website, we will deny you access to the corresponding community.  This is because it is WarehouseTWO's business model to protect and support a manufacturer's assigned wholesaler-distributor network, not to disrupt it.
Referral Rewards Program

The easiest way to get more value from your WarehouseTWO account is to increase participation by other distributors and manufacturers.  Over the years, many of you have been loyal "evangelists", recommending WarehouseTWO to peer distributors, to manufacturers and to associations and marketing groups.

We want to encourage and compensate you for the results of your efforts.  To learn more about our "WarehouseTWO Referral Rewards" program, and how you and your company can benefit, click here.

Mental Gymnastics:  Just for Fun!

A woman shows off to four friends her new, all titanium, left-handed cheese grater.  "To the nearest dollar, guess how much this cost me."  Her four friends respond with these four prices:  $365, $210, $215, and $264.

The woman responds, "Wow.  While your guesses are wrong, each of your guesses has one digit correct and in its correct place."

The Challenge
What did the woman pay for her cheese grater?

Click here to submit your answers by Friday, September 14th, 2018.  Only your first response will be considered.  The first correct responder will receive a $20 gift card.  All other correct responders will be entered into a drawing for two additional $20USD gift cards.  You must answer all five questions correctly to be eligible.
