Arnold – Inspiring Student Leadership
Arnold Lions announced the selection of their Student Leadership Team for the 2025/26 school year. These dedicated fifth- and sixth-graders will lead by example, helping to create a positive and engaging school environment for everyone. Officers and class representatives will oversee a variety of activities and programs, including schoolwide recycling, the ROAR Store, and the before-school “Walk and Talk.” Each role gives students a chance to build leadership skills, foster teamwork, and strengthen school spirit.

King – Walk to School Day
Families laced up their sneakers and took to the sidewalks for Walk to School Day. Students arrived energized and ready to learn after enjoying a morning stroll to school. The event encouraged healthy habits, reduced traffic in the neighborhood, and gave families a little extra time together to start the day. Many discovered how quick and fun the walk could be! The King community appreciates its ongoing partnership with city and district staff who help ensure safe walking and biking routes for all students.

Landell – Growing Together
Third graders are discovering how science, sustainability, and wellness connect through their work in the school garden. Partnering with the district’s Child Nutrition Services team, students have turned the garden into a living classroom where lessons on plant life cycles, composting, and nutrition come to life. The garden is a place for hands-on learning that enables students to enjoy the fruits (and vegetables) of their labor. Working side by side, students are growing knowledge, community, and healthy habits.

Luther – Student Council in Action
Luther students recently participated in elections for this year’s Student Council. Candidates in grades four through six delivered thoughtful speeches to their classmates, who then cast their votes to elect this year’s representatives. The new Student Council is ready to take on leadership roles that help make the school year fun, inclusive, and full of spirit. Their enthusiasm sets the tone for a year where every student can feel involved, inspired, and valued as a member of the school community.

Morris – Buddying Up for STEM
Transitional kindergarten students have been teaming up with their third-grade buddies for hands-on STEM lessons. As part of the “Earth Day Everyday” module, students explored the campus to collect soil, leaves, rocks, and plants, then used their discoveries to create texture gardens. These interactive lessons focus on curiosity, observation, and exploration, helping students build a foundation for scientific thinking while strengthening friendships across grade levels.

Vessels – A Community on the Move
Vessels celebrated Walk to School Day this month, bringing together students, families, staff, and community partners for a healthy start to the morning. Local leaders joined in the fun, walking alongside students and families to show support for safe routes to school and active lifestyles. The PTA set up checkpoints with small surprises, while volunteers and staff coordinated crossings to ensure everyone’s safety. The event promoted wellness, safety, and Bulldog school spirit!
