Here’s what YOU made possible in 2021:

YOU provided 2,370 nights of emergency shelter that helped survivors get safe and heal from the trauma of domestic violence.
YOU helped 413 survivors get orders of protection and other critical legal remedies.
YOU made it possible for 32 women to graduate from YW Tech Lab with in-demand coding and web-design skills.
YOU enabled 424 people to gain a deeper understanding of systemic racism and the challenges to achieving racial equity.

From persevering through COVID to opening our new campus, we have continued to make an impact in our community because of your support of our mission. Read about what you've made possible in our 2021 Annual Impact Report:

We're collecting holiday gifts for survivors of domestic violence

From now until December 13th, we will be collecting new and unwrapped toys and books for children at Mary Lou's Place, our shelter for survivors of domestic violence. Donations will be collected in our lobby at 1215 Church Street in Evanston.

We will also be collecting new pajamas, slippers, and robes for mothers and adults at Mary Lou's Place.

Come to a YW Tech Lab Open House next week

YW Tech Lab (formerly known as YWeb Career Academy) is a FREE PROGRAM designed to help women of color enter the tech field as web developers. Come learn more, for yourself, for someone you know, for your community:

December 7: 3:30-5:30 pm (CT)
December 9: 3:30-5:30 pm (CT)

YW Tech Lab is part of a national partnership with Google.org, YWCA USA and YWCA Madison. YWCA Evanston/North Shore is partnering locally with Oakton Community College.

YWCA Shop For Good and Crowded Closet

Volunteer your skills - for Good!

Our women’s resale shops, YWCA Crowded Closet and YWCA Shop For Good are always looking for volunteers.

Right now, we especially need a tech savvy volunteer to help us maintain our Shopify platform! Hours are flexible. Duties include:

Take photos of merchandise at both locations, Shop for Good and Crowded Closet
Research designer and competitive pricing of the photographed items
Upload and post on sales platform
