How you helped advance our mission in 2021
Each year, we reach thousands of community members with direct services and trainings aimed at furthering our mission: to eliminate racism and empower women. As the year comes to a close, here's a snapshot of the difference your engagement has made:
Over 500 survivors and their children received shelter and supportive services to begin their journey to safety and stability.
Over 400 survivors filed Orders of Protection with the help of our legal advocacy team, helping them navigate the complex legal system and find protection from their abusers.
Over 3300 K-8 students learned the skills to help them with building healthy relationships as they mature.
450 children on the Flying Fish Swim Team were able to continue swimming during the pandemic, building confidence and water safety.
Over 1000 attended public and private workshops on racial equity, helping build individual, community, and systemic change.
32 women graduated from our first two cohorts of YW Tech Lab, setting themselves up for new careers in web development.
