Do you have a hurricane plan?
South Florida missed a storm this past week, but more are likely to head our way, and everyone needs a plan. Visit the Village Hurricane Preparedness webpage to make sure you know what to do, and how to get emergency information if a storm or disaster hits.

Kids encountering wildlife?
Does your child know what to do when encountering a dangerous animal? Join Wildlife Biologist Devyn Higgs as she teaches children what to do should they ever encounter a native Florida critter. Streamed online only.

Anchorage Park clean-up day
The next Environmental Committee Clean-Up Day at Anchorage Park is set for Saturday, July 17th from 9 to 11 a.m. Volunteers are needed. Grabber and trash bags will be provided. gloves recommended.
Paddleboarders and kayakers can join the Trash Fishing Derby competition (just for fun)!

Camp was so much fun,
we're doing it again!
Thank you to all the campers this week who made our Parks & Recreation Camp more fun. There was a giant waterslide and an 80s themed dance party. Day Camp is half over, but spaces are still available for the rest of July. Call (561) 841-3389 for more info.
Planning Commission meeting
The next monthly Village Planning Commission meeting is Tuesday, July 13th at 6:30 p.m. in Village Hall.
The agenda includes three Site Plan and Appearance Reviews and two Ordinances. Details are linked in the agenda.
Golf Course closed July 12-14
The Village Golf Course will be closed July 12, 13 and14 for maintenance. During that time, crews will aerate fairways, trim and prune oak trees, and complete additional drainage work.

At their July 8th meeting, the Council delayed a "Zoning in Progress" decision, approved the creation of a stormwater management utility and fund, approved an agreement with the Treasure Coast Regional Planning Council, and more.

The Village Environmental Committee's monthly Gardening Talks continue Saturday, July 10 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Farmer's Table in the Country Club. The speaker will be a Certified Arborist who will talk about how to keep your trees properly trimmed,
Summer Soccer Clinic
Palm Beach Soccer Academy is back this Summer with a special week-long morning clinic July 19-23 for ages 6-16 at the Community Center.

Utility underground project update
The Village Manager and Public Works Director met this week with Kimley-Horn, the consulting firm that will create a plan for moving electric utility lines safely underground throughout the Village. Needs and expectations are being clarified, and the next step will be to meet with representatives from other utilities to include them in the plans. A website with updates about the project will be created and linked in this newsletter.
