Recap of the 2026 General Membership Meeting

MJAR hosted the 2026 General Membership Meeting on Thursday, April 16, 2026 at the Pines Manor in Edison. Attendees heard the latest updates from President Kevin McPheeters, Mid Jersey Association of REALTORS® CEO Nicole Banbor, Committee Chairpersons of Mid Jersey Association of REALTORS®, as well as special guest speakers Kyla Niewinski, Ambassador of the NAR REALTORS® Relief Foundation and Doug Tomson, CEO of New Jersey REALTORS®.

Education was at the forefront thanks to Robert Blackman of BrightMLS who provided an industry update as well as Deb Henderson of University Title Insurance Agency, Inc. who conducted an indepth overview of the latest tips and tricks on the continuing education course, "AI in Real Estate 101".

Nominating Committee Applications are Open

The Association’s Nominating Committee is comprised of five (5) members is to be appointed by the President by June 1 and approved by the Board of Directors no later than July 1. The Nominating Committee is to be one (1) Immediate Past President who will serve as Committee Chairperson, three (3) REALTOR® members who are Brokers, Owners or Managers and one (1) REALTOR® member who is an active salesperson who is not a Broker, Owner or Manager.

Deadline to apply is Friday, May 1 at 5:00PM

A reminder to members that the current NJREC Continuing Education term (2025-2027) began on July 1, 2025 and concludes on June 30, 2027. Avoid the $200 late penalty by completing Continuing Education requirements by April 30, 2027.

The requirement to fulfill 12 Continuing Education Credits applies to all active licensees. NJREC licensees can view their status for the current term on https://njrece.psiexams.com. Licensees will need their license reference number and Social Security Number to access their learning plan.

2027 NAR Committee Applications

Deadline to Apply: Wednesday, June 24, 2026

In order to be considered for an NAR committee appointment, members must first submit an Expertise Profile, followed by a committee application; members will also be asked to agree to the NAR committee appointment policies.

While members can only serve on one committee per year, you are encouraged to apply for up to five different committees that fit your interests and expertise.
