We are saddened to announce that MJAR member Bill Penyak, who managed the Weichert Realty office in Clinton, NJ, for many years, passed away on Sunday, September 14, 2025. We offer our deepest condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues.
A celebration of Bill’s life will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, October 11, at the Frenchtown Presbyterian Church, 22 4th Street, Frenchtown, NJ. View the obituary here.

LLC Registration Now Open
On September 16, the NJ Real Estate Commission (NJ REC) opened LLC registration for all licensed real estate salespersons, broker-salespersons, and referral agents.
Registering with the NJREC, a limited liability company formed pursuant to N.J.S.A. 45:15-16, may receive a commission or valuable consideration for real estate brokerage activity.

Mid Jersey Association of REALTORS® board of directors approved changes to MJAR Bylaws on September 17, 2025. The following amendments were made:

Article XI - Officers and Directors
Section 3. Board of Directors
The Board of Directors shall aspire to be, but shall not be required to be, composed of 50 percent of Broker/Owner/Managers.
Notwithstanding any other provision herein, some Board of Directors officers for the years 2023 through 2026 have been pre-selected by the Association as attached hereto as Schedule 1.
Section 4(b). Appointment/Election of Officers and Directors
For the annual election of officers and directors, members will have the option of voting in person at the Annual Meeting or voting by proxy.

*Contributions to RPAC are not deductible for federal income tax purposes. Contributions are voluntary and are used for political purposes. The amounts indicated are merely guidelines and you may contribute more or less than the suggested amounts provided your contribution is within applicable contribution limits. The National Association of REALTORS® and its state and local associations will not favor or disadvantage any member because of the amount contributed or a decision not to contribute. You may refuse to contribute without reprisal. Unless otherwise required by applicable law, any request for the refund of a contribution must be made within two (2) business days of the date on which you authorize RPAC to charge you for said contribution. Your contribution is split between National RPAC and the State PAC in your state. Contact your State Association or PAC for information about the percentages of your contribution provided to National RPAC and to the State PAC. The National RPAC portion is used to support federal candidates and is charged against your limits under 52 U.S.C. 30116.
