Clergy Reflection
At the Center for Wellbeing, we return to the sacred work of living whole and integrated lives. We honor the stories that shaped us and hold quiet hope for what is still unfolding. Yet many of us carry soft, persistent weight—concerns for those we love, for our health, our nation, our work, our aging, our relationships. These tender worries can slip us out of the present before we notice, dimming the grace unfolding right here. The “what ifs,” “could haves,” and “should haves” become gentle thieves, stealing both life’s deep joys and its small, shimmering gifts.
Being in the now invites us to return our awareness to this breath, this step, this moment rather than to the stories of the past or the fears of the future. It’s choosing presence over rumination, experience over imagination.
As I prepare for my Camino pilgrimage from Porto, Portugal to Santiago de Compostela, I have been learning this truth in a very embodied way. Read more...

Summer Lemonade in the Courtyard starts May 31
Do you have a friendly smile? Whether you are new to us or you are a longtime parishioner, this is a great opportunity to be a welcoming face and to get to know our church community better. Sign up to host the “lemonade table” in the front courtyard after the 10 a.m. service.
How it works: We provide the supplies. A table will be set up in the courtyard before the service. As a volunteer, please leave the service after receiving communion to bring the refreshments from the kitchen to the courtyard using a cart. When most folks have left the courtyard (roughly 11:45 a.m.), cleanup involves bringing the supplies back to the kitchen and giving the pitchers a quick rinse. Sign up by yourself or grab a friend and volunteer together. Questions? Contact Christina Way.

Redeemer Pilgrims on the Camino
After many months of preparation, several pilgrims are walking in Spain and several have arrived in Santiago de Compostela. Visit the map posted in the hallway near the Welcome Center to see who is walking, which route they are taking, and when they return. Please keep them in your prayers. Anna is in Spain to walk portions of the Camino, greet our pilgrims upon their arrival in Santiago, and celebrate Pentecost with them.
Interested in walking the Camino but not sure where to begin? Contact David Ware or Anna Noon to learn more.

Invitation to Centering Prayer
Many of us become so centered in outer “things” that support the ego that we lose sight of what matters. At Centering Prayer meditation, we quietly seek a center in a life that encompasses consciously being with God. You are warmly welcomed to practice with us in the Women’s Council Room on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. or via Zoom at that time. An online-only session meets Tuesdays from 6 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. For more information or to get the Zoom links, contact Sherrill Pantle at sdpantle@gmail.com or 410-377-0381.

Camps at Redeemer this Summer
Children are central to the life and work of Redeemer and with the school year wrapping up, we will welcome kids to three camps over the summer. Run by teachers from the Parish Day School, Camp Play & Grow for children ages 2 to 6 and CamP-123 for children entering pre-first through third grade involve children from across Baltimore. The final week of the six-week Play & Grow camp will overlap with the return of Paul’s Place Camp. Paul’s Place is for children entering first through fifth grades. Redeemer is one of several Episcopal parishes partnering to create a week of fun and friendship for kids from southwest Baltimore through this long-standing program.

Paul’s Place Camp: Allegria! Joy Around the World
Paul’s Place Camp returns to Redeemer the week of July 13, when we host 40 children from Southwest Baltimore who are rising first through fifth graders and Paul’s Place staff for friendship, fun and learning. This year’s camp will center on the theme of joy, expressed in different ways around the world, through a variety of activities and workshops. A $125 donation will sponsor a camper for the week; donations of any amount are appreciated. Give online (choose “undesignated gift” and type “Paul’s Place Camp” in the note) or write a check payable to Church of the Redeemer with the same memo line.
We are also looking for high school youth to serve as camp counselors (email Josh Laws for more info) and for adult volunteers (contact Cristina Paglinauan). Thanks for considering how you might help us build community and make camp week a joyful, unforgettable experience for our friends at Paul’s Place.

Weekday Service Schedule
Monday mornings @ 8 a.m. on Zoom. Join Keith Johnson for Morning Prayer (30 minutes). Rooted in The Book of Common Prayer, this time-honored practice of psalms, scripture, and prayer helps center our lives in God as the week begins. Click here to join on Zoom.
Tuesday mornings @ 8 a.m. in the church. Join David Ware for Holy Eucharist and a lively exchange on the Gospel reading.
Wednesday mornings @ 8 a.m. in the chapel. Join Cristina Paglinauan for Embodied Eucharist, which invites gentle stretching, mindful breathing, guided meditation or centering prayer followed by a simple Eucharist. Yoga mats are welcome but are not required.
First Wednesdays of the month @ noon in the chapel. Join Keith Johnson for a Healing Eucharist. This service includes Holy Communion and prayers for healing, offering space to bring before God the needs of body, mind, and spirit, as we seek God’s grace and wholeness.
Thursday mornings @ 8 a.m. in the chapel. Join Josh Laws for an Ignatian Eucharist. Ignatian Prayer is a centuries-old approach to spirituality that seeks to weave together the stories of our scriptures, the experiences of our lives, and the God who is present through it all. This Eucharist invites us to practice imaginative prayer, each week entering into one story from the Bible and letting Spirit bring it to life.

2026 Stewardship
O God, grant us wisdom and courage for this day: a discipline that helps us become the people we aspire to be, the strength to overcome the obstacles we encounter or create, a path to navigate local and national tension. The Spirit at Redeemer sustains us, and our pledge expresses palpable thanks: “I am your disciple Lord, and I commit to bring healing through my steps. I stand in solidarity with this community of faith, and I will serve God alongside them.”
A commitment of a pledge says “Yes. We're all in! We belong here.”

Name Tags, please
With so many new faces among us – both in the congregation and among our staff members – we encourage everyone to wear a name tag. The name tag table is located in the narthex. If you already have a name tag, please find yours in the bins alphabetized by last name. If you are new to us or can’t find your tag, please make a temporary one with the supplies provided and sign up for a name tag on the clipboard. We will have one for you by the next Sunday.
