BFD Catfish Crawl set for Saturday, May 20th
It's that time of year again! The 2017 Blountstown Fire Department Catfish Crawl 5K is right around the corner - May 20th, 2017!
Hundreds of runners and spectators will converge on the Blountstown Greenway Bike Path for 3.1 beautiful miles of running, walking and maybe even some crawling. More than just a 5K race, Catfish Crawl is a community event!
They need your help to make it happen! Sponsorships are available in multiple levels this year. They still offer the $100 basic sponsorship and the $250 larger sponsorship, but for this year there are two new opportunities for businesses to invest in the race and in our community.
1) In 2016 the bounce house in the Gateway Daycare Kid Zone was a huge hit, and now they are opening up the chance for a business or individual to sponsor that bounce house. For $350 there will be a sign and promotions stating "Bounce House brought to you by _____".
2) The second new opportunity is to sponsor our computerized chip timing. The chipped timing is what brought the race to the forefront of local races and what also helped place this little ole' race on the Gulf Winds Track Club Grand Prix race schedule. For a $1,000 donation your business name will be on the banner over the start/finish line and will be promoted and billed as "Race timing brought to you by___".
The BFD truly needs the community to support Catfish Crawl. Thanks to your support there are firefighters out there today, working in career departments. All proceeds from Catfish Crawl go toward the Blountstown Fire Department Scholarship Fund, which awards a fully funded scholarship to a local fire academy.
