Prayers of the People
The Revs. Chris and Katie Bishop (and Eden and Bethany) welcomed their son/brother Abraham Bishop, age 4, home from Haiti last week as his adoption was finalized. Abraham will be baptized at the Easter Vigil Service at Middletown UMC at 5 p.m., Saturday, April 8. All are welcome in person or online. The Bishop family is thankful for the prayers and support of the Baltimore-Washington Conference community in this adoption and homecoming process.

Non-Anxious Leader course begins March 6
The key to effective leadership is the ability to remain a non-anxious presence, especially when others are most anxious. The uncertainty created by the pandemic and pending denominational split intensifies this need.

This four-week, online course, will help you grow as a non-anxious leader. It will show you how to apply family systems theory so that you can be a non-anxious presence personally and professionally. All content can be accessed asynchronously. The four live sessions with the instructor are recorded in case you are unable to join them in real-time.

The course will be offered March 6 through April 2. The registration deadline is March 1. The course, offered by The Center for Vital Leadership, is free to lay and clergy members of the Baltimore-Washington and Peninsula-Delaware Annual Conferences.

Get more information and register. In addition, more information on this topic can be found at Jack Shitama's blog, The Non-Anxious Leader.
